Illustration friday: Clean

This was a book I did for a toy company a few years back. It was an interactive book so you have to imagine a huge three inch hole in the middle of each half of the spread, which, as you can imagine can create a lot of headaches in terms of composing a nice design. In any case I thought it was a good image for this week's topic

Oh and don't forget.... TONIGHT! Friday JULY 28th at 9:30PM is the Sneak preview to my new cartoon series on the DISNEY CHANNEL. I'd love to hear everyone's feedback on whether you liked it or not and I'd appreciate the notes

Enjoy!

Really like your illo, and really like your color palette too! And the textures...Gosh what a challenge with the hole in the middle. I'd say success! You would not even know it from looking at it.

Oops, missed the show. Love these characters though. I was gonna say especially the bunny, but now I can't decide. The Disney Channel is often on at my house so I'm sure I'll catch the show eventually. Congratulations!

I like the toucan, mainly 'cuz I like toucans. But you can never really go wrong with penguins for added humor-factor. Might have to find the book someday and check it out, holes and all.

Hey there, Dan!

I left a comment on your DA account ages and ages ago. I'm one of the designers on your show (I worked very closely with David), though I guess I never managed to meet you personally. I walked in on you and Heather rappin' once in....Hmm, Jack's office? I don't remember where it was now - but I just thought I'd introduce myself again, even if it's only by way of the sneaky sneaky internet! ;) The show looks GREAT. I'm glad the network's promoting it. Considering the experience I've had in lovingly crafting a show and watching it go down in flames due to network neglect, I can appreciate their efforts to really get the show on the map before it premieres! I think it's a winner! :) Thank you for creating it, that I might have employment on a great looking show, that's been a pleasure to work on! I just made a quick mention of it on my page after someone pointed out the clips on Youtube! Exciting! I really think the opening is just amazing (such a cool throwback to the Peanuts' Christmas special with the dancing) and the premise overall is strong. It's a survivor, for sure! :)
